Solid basis. My only real issues where the inability to rotate the ship and framerate drops when moving (not that I could go over 10fps)
Yeah I planned on making the ship rotatable but ran out of time. As for the performance, could you give me your specs?
AMD A6-9220 RADEON R4, 5 COMPUTER CORES 2C+3G 2.50 GHz
Personally I know its very weak. The loss of fps while moving was more my concern rather than my overall low fps
A lot of operations happen while moving. I can optimize those but am currently too busy with another project. Hopefully the next update, whenever that might be.
I think your CPU is being squeezed more than your GPU. Let me know if your task manager reaches the same conclusion.
Really no Linux version when it is one click? OK, your call.
It is not that simple. The engine I'm using is in alpha, it has many bugs on Linux. As a whole, getting games to be stable on Linux is a huge headache. As the sole developer working on it in his free time, I can't spend hours playing the game of "is it me or the engine" with the bugs, especially on a free game.
I want to release the game on Steam Deck but I just don't have the capacity to do that right now. Hopefully in the future :)
Unfortunately I'm not planning on releasing it for Linux. If I can get the support to create the full game, I'd love to create it for the Steam Deck and even iDevices.
